Interstate Maintenance Facility (IMF)
City of Portland
About
This Work
This 145,000 sq. ft. facility supports citywide public works and maintenance operations, including fleet services, storage, workshops, and administrative areas. MEC delivered full electrical engineering, design, permitting, and construction administration for both the new building and phased tenant improvements. The project required designing safe, robust systems for fleet maintenance equipment, industrial shop areas, emergency operations, and long-term municipal use. The project achieved LEED Gold certification, requiring sustainable electrical design, energy-efficient systems, and close coordination with mechanical and civil disciplines.
